What is CHILD Inc.?
CHILD Inc. is an academic center offering assistance to children ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. We also offer tutoring in select college level courses. Our goal is to assist families by offering academic tutoring and social skills promotion.
What makes us different?
1. Specialized Attention: At CHILD Inc., our Program Manager reviews your child's assessment results, and creates individualized lesson plans specially catered for your child. At CHILD Inc. you will also find that the lesson plans your child receives follow core curriculum guidelines individualized to reinforce standards within the public and private school environments. CHILD Inc. utilizes a variety of methods while providing quality program planning geared toward educational growth and development. Individual goals and objectives are established and assessed for maximum growth and potential.
2. Interactive: Our Program Manager does an excellent job at creating fun and interactive lesson plans for your child. We utilize a variety of methodologies to ensure successful learning! CHILD Inc. implements the latest technology, hands on activities and differentiated instruction all within one-on-one and small group settings. Various strategies and techniques are used to help your child understand the material they are learning as they generalize the information within the school setting.
3. Tutoring: We offer in-person and online one-on-one tutoring and group tutoring sessions at your convenience. CHILD, Inc. specializes in working with students diagnosed with various disabilities (ADD/HD, LD, OCD, Autism Spectrum, and more). We implement strategies to assist in "closing the educational gap" between ability level and achievement. We don't succeed until our students succeed!
Hours: Parents have the option of bringing their child to the center to receive tutoring on M-F from 2-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 8-11 a.m. We also offer online and home tutoring for your convenience.
Hours per week: Tutoring sessions per week vary for each individual child. However, hours are determined by the Director and the parents when the assessment has been completed. This is based on the assessment results and the multidisciplinary team's recommendations.
4. Observations: CHILD Inc. offers classroom observations and attendance to meetings within the school and community environments. This includes: Individualized Education Plan meetings (IEP), parent-teacher conferences, and scheduled school meetings concerning the student.
5. Outreach: CHILD Inc. communicates with professional agencies regarding academic as well as medical, social, and behavioral concerns. Our goal is to work collaboratively with community resources involved within your child's overall development.
6. Homeschool: CHILD Inc. offers a home facilitator program which serves Pre-k through 12th grade that utilizes multimedia activities to teach standard-based curriculum. Our goal is to strive towards academic excellence by closing the achievement gap as we work towards mastering individualized goals and objectives.
